Jon Haward's Biography

Jon Haward is a freelance illustrator who has over the years worked for childrens books, joke books, activity packs, comics, newspaper strips, cards games, board games, computer game character design development, story boards for films and posters (including ones to promote groups),religious illustrations and illustrated record covers.

He has created characters for...

Advertising companies, banks, childrens books and comics. These include... Stripy and Curly, Victor Vampire, Bony Skeleton, Shock Hockey, Shag (Smut comic),Tales of the Buddha (with Alan Grant)for Wasted adult humour magazine and for Northern Lightz magazine.

For school meals campaigns Chip the Plate Man, Sid Sausage, Donna Disco, Mighty Metro, World Saver, Fit Club 5, Ollie the Owl.

In 1999 Jon launched his own characters in America which were co-created with Alan Grant (who is a well known writer for characters such as Batman, Lobo, Judge Dredd and Ace Lightning), called The Hell Crew. They appeared in Frank Frazetta Fantasy Illustrated Magazine, the title of their first adventure was 'Hell Comes To Elf Town'.

In 1999/2000 Jon worked for Promethean Designs, a computer games development company, working in design and also as art director for GAMECOMICS.COM, drawing an on-line comic based on Promethean game Picassio.

Jon has worked designing and drawing for Rex Studios creating character and set designs for Themed attraction rides.

Jon has worked for 200AD magazine on Judge Dredd, Sinister Dexter, Thargs Future shocks, Tales of Telguuth, Of Ancient Blood for Warhammer(Games- Workshop), Spectacular-Spiderman (Marvel/Panini) and Marvel Rampage magazine.
